| 内容記述 | In recent years, the number of single working women in Japan has increased. Since the role orientation and the role expectation of women in society can always be reflected in the images of women in the media, the single working women characters have sprung up in the visual media in Japan. This article focuses on single working women in Japan, their representations, and the discourses surrounding them in female-oriented television dramas. To analyze the representations of single working women on the media in Japanese, two TV dramas in which single working women are the main characters,Around40 and We married as a job! were selected as the objects. Based on the critical discourse analysis of representations found in these dramas about single working women, this article presents how the discourses embedded in them can be read as an ideological struggle. | |||||||||
